Career Options, Inc. (COI) is located at 410 Marcella
Road, Suite B, Hampton, VA 23666. George W. Davis, Ph.D., C.D.M.S.
started his business in Hampton, VA in 1984 and operated under the
name RTW Rehabilitation Services. He provided vocational and rehabilitation
counseling services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
In May of 1997, the business was incorporated and the name was changed
to Career Options, Inc. (COI). The new name better identified the
realm of services provided which included vocational services to
individuals seeking career change or enhancement. Career Options,
Inc. was awarded 8(a) certification by the U.S. Small Business Administration
on February 28, 1997. COI is a member of the Better Business Bureau
and the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. We have a good working
relationship with local agencies, employers, businesses, and other
rehabilitation professionals.
Services provided by the company
are primarily vocational rehabilitation counseling with referrals
from the Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Labor,
and private agency referrals. The private referrals include insurance
companies as well as self-insured companies, medical management
services, evaluations for Social Security Disability claimants,
and career counseling to high school students. Approximately 75%
of the services are provided to disabled or injured adults and 20%
of the services are provided to adults separating from the military
or seeking a career change.
